The Legionnaire's Code
ONE Defend the Anarchy, even with the cost of your life. You may not have friendships from other groups, as your loyalty must remain to the Anarchy and the [Roman] Gods alone.
TWO Dominants and praetors must be fed before the Anarchy. Unless a cat has permission, they may not eat before the dominants and praetors are fed.
THREE A kitten must be weaned before they become a novice.
FOUR Newly appointed legionnaires will make a sacrifice to their patron God before they have been given their full legionnaire name.
FIVE A novice is put through the Trial when their mentor decides that they have profed themselves. The task is to be chosen by the dominants, usually centred on the novice's skills and strengths. The novice's performance in the Trial determines who their patron God or Goddess will be and whether they will be eligible for a high position.
SIX A cat cannot be made praetor without having passed the Trial.
SEVEN A praetor will become dominant when a dominant dies or retires.
EIGHT A cat must be approved of by the Gods before being made praetor.
NINE Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
TEN The word of a dominant is law, and only to be overriden by the word of the Gods.
ELEVEN Legionnaires must make sacrifices to their patron God every full moon.
TWELVE A legionnaire rejects the Greek religion.
The Doctor's Code
ONE A doctor must not discourage worship of the [Roman] Gods in any way.
TWO A doctor may not speak of the Haven; they are believers of the Greek religion, and therefore heathens.
THREE A doctor must teach their neophyte all that they know which concerns remedies, healing and religion.
FOUR A doctor speaks not of other gods; they must speak only of the Roman Gods and in reverence.
FIVE A doctor may not speak to any outside parties.
